Research Scientist, NOAA AOML/CIMAS
Bio: I spent my youth on the waters of South Florida and after recently graduating from the University of Washington with a degree in Oceanography I was eager to return to the waters of my sun-soaked childhood. I couldn’t imagine a better place to start my professional career than with the Ocean Chemistry and Ecosystems Division at AOML in Miami. I have had the privilege of partaking in many short-term scientific cruises, but look forward to what will be my longest scientific cruise, GO-SHIP I07N.
What I’m doing on this cruise: I will be working as a nutrient analyst on this cruise, quantifying the concentrations of nutrients that are necessary for biological production; both at designated stations and while the research vessel is underway.
